Many employees, among them also official and woman officials, are not completely enlightened over their rights. For this there is a clear and informative listing, tries all points understandably together to seize.

Particularly for employed mothers in the occupational group of the officials this might be interesting, since there are still misunderstandings between employers and employees.

Requirement on partial time:

Woman officials have a requirement on part-time work if it at least one child under 18 years at home to have. The request for partial time work must at the employer be submitted in writing and may be also only rejected, if compelling reasons speak against it.

Official supply:

Minimum supply:

The minimum supply of the woman officials is regular according to §14 official-supply-set. Thus a woman official, if she fulfilled at least 5 service years, receives to at least 35 § the pensionable service purchases. They amount to in West Germany at least 1,291 euros monthly and in East Germany at least 1,190 euros.

For widows this supply is again somewhat differently regular, in West Germany lies it with 724 euros in the month and in the east with 672 euros in the month.

Care auxiliary addition:

If a woman official maintains a member at home, then she gets a care auxiliary addition. This comes into force, if she spends at least 14 hours in the week on the domestic care and these times are not computed for the legal pension. This is regular also according to §50d of the BeamtVG. The retirement pensions of the woman officials are again regular and since then also more highly computed since 2002.

Minimum pension for officials:

The condition for a beamtenförmiges minimum pension: One did a service of at least five as an official years. The pension amounts to then at least 35 per cent of the pension-able service purchases.

Overtime:
