Salary increase 2008/2009

In the year 2008 the linear increase of the salary and supply of the officials and woman officials are increased in two stages. Altogether it 2.9% to be, however divided in two steps.
It is to be owed to the trade unionists that the emoluments are already increased and paid starting from that 01.08.2008 by 1,5%. Since a shortening of the Christmas benefit had already stepped into force, the officials and woman officials receive nevertheless more funds. Shortening the Christmas benefit amounted to 1.2% for each month less. The remaining 1.4% increase for the simple and middle service starting from 01.09.2008 are paid. The elevated and higher service may be pleased then starting from 1 November 2008 about the remaining 1.4%.

1.5% starting from 1 January 2008 for all officials and judges,
1.4% starting from 1 August 2008 for the officials of the salary brackets a2 to A 9 as well as candidates,
1.4% starting from 1 November 2008 for the officials and judge in the remaining salary brackets.

Civil service pay one calls the monthly running purchases in Germany to officials to be disbursed. These purchases are supplemented by possible special payments. Regularly these purchases are at present still country wide by federation the federal pay law. Since the entry into force of the federalism reform in August 2006 the salary right for the land and officials of local is federal state law. The civil service pay law (BBesG)

The civil service pay law regulates the monthly running purchases for the following occupational groups:

• A federal official, the officials of the countries, the municipalities, the municipality federations as well as the other supervision of a country being subordinate bodies, institutes and foundations of the public right; the honor officials and the officials on revocation, who are used besides, are exceptional.
• Judge of the federation and the countries; the honorary judges career soldiers and soldiers are exceptional on time.

By means of the civil service pay law the following purchases are regulated:

• the basic salary,
• the achievement purchases for professors as well as full-time ladder and members of management commitees at universities.
• the family addition,
• the extra pay,
• the remuneration,
• the foreign service purchases
